From Kifissia to Elefsina, passing by the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Foundation and the port of Piraeus, the whole Athenian agglomeration is made of contrasts, between the the past and present buildings, past and present industry, past and present ports.

During summer 2017, I decided to carry out a photographic project about two rural families. In June, I visited first a Swiss family, the Felders, in the region of Entlebuch, not far from the city of Luzern. During one week, I lived and worked with them, and took photographs of their work and life.
After that, I went on the small island of Leros, Greece. There, I visited another rural family, the Giannakos, where I also worked and lived with them during one week.
My goal is to point those details, which show that, although these two worlds are very different of each other, their lives in tradition are quite similar…
